9855r problems

got a problem with my 9855r headunit the screen goes blank after about 10 seconds of not touching enything, it still plays fine just really anoying not seeing anything on the screen.

also i have my ipod hucked up is there anyway i can watch films on it and have the sound through the speakers?
also is there anyway i can control what im listening to though the ipod as its anoying havning to take the ipod off and re attach it.

If that is a alpine you are on about it has a blackout function and that is what is causing that screen to turn of cant remember what button it is but you press and hold it and the screen comes back on and stays on it should tell you in the manual suppose to make is sound better didnt really hear the difference :approve:

right ta ive looked in the manual and could find anything, do you mean when it blacks out it sounds better?

figured it out ta matt, i have to press and hold func for 2 seconds pissed me off for ages this has.
