im waiting on my outcome, 101 in a 70, going court in 3 weeks..... worst case scenario is a 56 day ban, 6 points, plus around £400 fine!

Pretty stupid of me really.. a road i dont know, etc.. Was in holiday mode, so must have left my brian at home.. Muppet..

Sums up the situation really dosnt it. You really could be done for driving without due care & attention with an admission like that.

Learn from it and hope the bench dosnt put a confiscation order on your car.
so are you trying to tell me that youve never exceeded the limit then.. Yes, what i did WAS my own doing and im responsible.. im fine with constructive criticism, but i dont see your coments as constructive..! I personally dont see 98 as being that bad, but the law of the land sees differently, Thats the price i have to pay.. i was wasnt driving like a muppet far from it , so without due car is no where near thw mark...! the road was empty apart from 4x4 up my arse trying to push me along.. (which i wasnt racing incidentally..) to try and put some distance between us...
Read your original post.........You said you were in holiday mode....left your brain at home.....Muppet. Make your mind up and admit it you really were driving without due care....YOU left YOUR brain at home.

Just because i was in Holiday mode dsent mean i was driving dangereously OR without due care....! My point was i was a muppet/idiot for getting caught..! NOT that i was driving like one..! afterall it was a straght dual carriage way, not that makes it right..

You havent answered the Q yet..? "so are you trying to tell me that youve never exceeded the limit then.. ?"

Red Clio 52 - Ive spoken to you before about this, if you cant say anything constructive as per James original request - why dont you say feck all and do us all a favour eh.

Since your quoting from the original topic - just where does it say "Id like your opinion on my driving or the fact I was breaking the speed limit?" It doesnt. So zip it eh.

James, i was caught at 98mph on the A19 which has a 70mph limit. Never went to court just received 3 points £60. This was April 2003

A mate of mine got caught at over 100+ but got let off at the officers discretion............but that doesnt mean its normal procedure.

If the officer decides not to give you an on the spot 3 points and £60, and deems the offence serious enough to refer you to the courts, as in this case, then you can expect about 5 points and a large fine. Youd be very unlucky to get a ban.

And I wouldnt bother with that instrument calibration card, Ive heard it so many times - they WILL have calibrated it and youll just look like an argumentative, remorseless tw*t clutching at straws. Your best bet is to be honest and remorseful.

Good luck

Thanks Lucas.. That was my general plan anyway.. he told me it had been calibrated anyway.. youd only look like a prat for argueing it..
