A clean and some new bits

Gave the flamer a quick clean today after fitting my new Turinis. Freshly refurbed by my mate who took them off his 172 Cup, with brand new T1-Rs on the fronts. Gone for a Revels' winning silver.

Also gave the engine bay (work in progress) a good clean with Steve (planetx) and fitted my new alloy foot rest (cheers davo172).

Had all the engine mounts changed, new rear discs and pads and the tracking sorted, all ready for the 'Ring at the end of the month.

Just after a couple of interior trim bits, a new fog light and a new steering wheel (or just a thumb grip). Looking at a cup spoiler and some Sportlines to finish it off too.

Got a lotta love for Flamers. Turinis though. Baaah. I prefer them on the standard 172 alloys. Still a very nice car and in the best colour for 172's.

Needs some lowzz and 3/4 front plate though ;)

It was either freshly refurbed Turinis with 2 new tyres for £400 or get my horribly kerbed standards refurbed for £200, so I went for the more expensive but better option!

Cheers though!

I love that! Looks fresh.

Cheers mate

Cheers all.

MarkLery - it's on 182 Cup springs, so pretty much standard ride height. One of my standard springs snapped! Sportlines will be going on when my mate gets coilovers for his 172 Cup.

Rob - never get a chance to come to meets as most of them are on Sundays when I work. Tried to organise stuff down this way a few times but it always fails. An area-rep organised meet might work better!

Said quick clean, but what do you use pal, looks very fresh and well loved.. looks like a 3year old car, not 10, credit to you : )

Quick clean was Zymol shampoo, dry and some Megs speed detailer, with AG bumper care on the plastics.

Was recently lime primed, polished with SRP and waxed with a mix of P21 and Collonites.

Needs a good machine polish though, and the front end is horrendously stone chipped.
