A couple of questions

  Nissan 350Z
1. The throttle clicks down, I know this is to disengage the CC, however, I am just wondering whether it requires you to click down to get full throttle or whether it occurs before then?

2. The exhaust on the 182... I understand this is how they got the extra 10 brake... so in effect does this mean the 182 is already blessed with a "sport exhaust" and putting another one on would have no real benefit (except the change the sound perhaps?). Also, does the 182 sound different to the 172 as a result?

CC I take it you mean crusie as the climate does disengage at high rpm.
Cruise disengaes at any touch on the accelerator pedal.
It will give more power some of the extra power was released by the 4-2-1 manaiolf which is better (still not idead) also through the lower resistance 200 cel cat rarather than the 400 on the 172. An exhaust will give you some more power yes but a decat won't make as big as differences as it did on the restricted 172.
There quite quiet anyway realy you need to drive a noisy car to realise the 172/182's are all quiet.

Yeah I meant cruise control - didnt realise the climate disengaged at high RPMs.

As for quietness, yes this is true also, its a very quiet car compared to my last car (a mk2 Golf GTI).

As having owned a 172 then swapped straight to a 182 I can say that there is a bit of difference in the sound of the 182. it sounds a little bit deeper and more throatie, even more so over 5K revs. But at the same time not a huge amount of difference.

As for aftermarket exhaust - do any make a huge difference. If you were to change it I would go for one with a single rear silencer that then splits to two tail pipes as apposed to two rear silencers. One less silencer = less weight! (i.e. Oribisound (Think thats how you spell it)).
