A CRR check by Renault

My 2010 renault clio sport gordini is having clutch issues. When the car is cold I am unable to get the car in gear. I have taken the car to a renault dealer and they advised me its the pressure plates on the clutch. £1200 to replace which was unexpected. I said that I wasn't happy as the car it's under 3 years old but they said clutch issues were not under warranty due wear and tear which I understand. At the moment Renault want the dealer to do a CRR check. Does anyone know what a CRR check involves? According to the dealer the car will be in for 3 days.

I had my 200 for around 9 months when my clutch & flywheel started playing up. The car drove fine but suffered from a squeaky clutch peddle. The technicians looked in to it & found the clutch & fly had issues (heat spots in 2 places & witness marks on 2 diaphragms). I asked to inspect them myself as I wasn't happy & found the cover to have distortion in it, meaning the clutch was not clamping square & never fully disengaging. My advice would be argue the toss as I'm not completely convinced by the technicians ability. Definitely speak with R-UK.
Note they also attempted to tell me I needed new front pads (which were replaced the month before!!)
