A good cd/mp3 player thats simply amber

Im after a decent cd/mp3 player thats just a proper plain jane to look at but glows amber like the rest of the valvers dash..

Looking for something a bit retro really that blends in like the old tape deck did - anyone have any suggestions?

Less gizmos the better id rather it sound better than look chav!

I fitted this the other week. You can chose what colour you want the buttons to be. There are preset ones or you can chose on a scale which allows 512 colours!

^^ What models that? Ive got a Sony cdx-mp40 at the moment - I know I know but I had zero money left when I bought the car and needed a unit that could play mp3s hence that shed went in!

Nakamichi are plain and simple yet have great sound from what I hear.

Some halfords had them at half price recently, but I think that offer might have finished now! Have a look if youre local.

both can be bought with only an amber backlight and no flashy displays, both have excellent sound quality, however you do pay a premium with them

I thought when you select the colours, its only for the dial and four button in the corner on that alpine Lee? Or is that another one, my mates got one just like it.

Yeah it is mate. The text stays the same colour, kinda blue/white I think.

I can take a picture of it in green later mate. Still stuck in the office.

I remember maybe last year a quite neice looking pioneer cd player with a nice flat silver finish with two knobs either end of the unit - can anyone remember the name of it:? Im sure it glowed orange...

It does look good and it sounds gr8 - I should know as I have one, but it lights up white, not amber!

sorry to change the subject but what are they like the sony mp40??? ive been looking on ebay at them as they go pretty cheap was gonna get one
