About 15/61 Gear Box?

hello all,

ı had some problems on my ph1 gearbox and I wanna change it. As you know ph1 172 has 15/58 gearbox rate and 2.0 Laguna 140 hp gearbox is 15/61. this laguna gearbox is compatible with 172? to use 15/61 is an advantage compared with 15/58 for performans?

Is there anything to use laguna 15/61 gearbox or it's directly plug and play?

could you please tell me your experiance about 15/61?

I'm not sure what the gear ratios would be like using a laguna box. If they are the same as Clio then maybe it would be ok. But the phase 2 Clio 172 box has a 15/61 final drive ratio and is more suited in my opinion. So id suggest trying to find one of those.

The advatage of the 15/61 would be faster acceleration.

thankss but the custom clearance in turkey is a little bit difficult especialy for 2nd hand auto parts but neverthles I would like to know ph2 gearbox price in uk, do you have any idea?
