ABS grind?

Hey all,
does anyone else get a grinding noise & shaky pedal feel when braking in snow or icy conditions? I think it's the ABS kicking in but I'm not sure?

It feels terrible like something is wrong but the brakes are fine in normal weather. Is this right?

Agreed, brakes would work much better in the snow.

In this weather when the abs kicks in and the pedal starts dancing it feels like my brakes work at all.

I read over on Renault sport that holding the traction control button for 10/15 seconds will turn the abs off. Not tried it though.
