ABS Ring wont fit!

ive bought a new ABS ring as i broke the other, but it wont go on the back of the dics, but it looks exactly the same as the old one, same amount of teeth?

was wondering if you needed to heat them up to expand them abit or somthing?

If it only just won't fit try heating it, but if it's way off no chance.

Generally they just need a bit of persuasion! There made of cheese though and bend quite easily!!

theyre a shrink fit usually. so need to be heated up put on and then let to cool down, then they stay on

Heat it then it fits on.

Yeah, chuck it in your oven Gas mark 7 for 10 minutes, then leave to cool for 30 seconds before serving.

I warmed mine up on the driveshaft with the blowtorch, bit of grease on the shaft and a punch and it went on no problem!

I just sanded my driveshaft a bit and teased it on mm by mm with a hammer and punch.

+1 Tried heating it but then its nigh on impossible to put on, or atleast I found.
