Accident Damaged Clio 172

Thought it was time to start a thread!

i had been looking for a clio 172/182 for a couple of months, had a cheeky tax rebate and was looking for a nice clio

Couple of months went past still waiting for my rebate and NO REBATE! Thanks tax man.

Soo I went looking through the accident damage route!


And i came across a cheeky clio 172 in iceburg silver i picked it up for 1400 pound with 83000 miles

This is it the night i got it back!

Soo got her up on the ramp, then the work started!

The list of damage:

Passenger side wing
Front bumper
Bottom arm
indicator
cracked alloy ( non standard some sh*tty 17 inch wheels)

I started the work!

All parts were ordered and on their way

I started by replacing the bottom arm, biit of a problem though when removing the arm i pulled the drive shaft some how and the bearing collapsed! absolute bugger


soo after replacing the bottom arm and the drive shaft i started on the bumper.


i picked the bumper up for 50 quid from a local guy, it was blue when i got it so the spraying begain

Finished product

Got some back to black and sprayed the grill,fog light surrounds and splitter.

the grille seen above was cracked on the bottom so decided to buy a new one picked a brand new one up for 60 pound

After a couple of weeks i soon realised that was time to look for some wheels

Had seen the oz f1 wheels on peoples project and quite fancied a set after a couple of days i found a set on parts for sale on here! courtsy of maynard

Soo I was the proud owner of a set of orange oz f1's Big smiles all round

Decided to by myself a new headlight will buy a new one in a couple of weeks

apprentice wage is shite

New light arrived and guess what more pictures

So it been for test and they failed it on headlight alignment!

The government on the isle of man are w*****s!

so i tryed to adjust it and the adjust is fecked!

So i decided to buy a new one! its on it way!

Na, got friends on the isle so visit sometimes and marshal for TT and Manx. Haven't been since 08 due to work and other commitments. If I found a job that paid well enough to make it worth my while I'd be there in a flash.

Lucky lucky boy, yeah you have some horrid roads over there but some stunners too
