Adding other drivers on insurance

Wow.

When getting quotes for the car recently, I have been told anything from 1900 to 3000 quid. Using loads of online sites and going direct as well.

Just got a quote, same car, but adding my "granny driver, never been convicted in 30 years of driving" mother to the policy, 1400 quid!!

Yes please!

Question is, as it takes a bit of time to do, would adding the old man on there as well make it come down even more??

In my experience no, adding my mum was best, some sites went up with dad.

LOL! brought it down by 18 quid! Ah well, he'll want to be on the insurance anyway.

my mums on mine, beleive it or not jamie i got an insurance quote on my dads Cupra k1 (2.0lt same engine as an S3) £1,086 for a full year. My dad then did a quote for me to be a named driver on his policy and it was 100 pound more than my quote :s
