Adrian Flux - Lost the Plot lol ...

Flux couldn't get near my renewal.

I rang Greenlight (who I was with) to accept their renewal and they had withdrawn it :S No longer able to cover the 200 it seems...

Went to Aviva in the end, slightly more than I paid last year, but we're talking ~£50 more.

Older, wiser and more of a risk it seems ;)

I must be quite lucky to have had £160 cheaper insurance this year then...renewal in feb but ive done quotes (valid for 28days) and i was paying £800 last year and ive slowly got it down to £640

Flux beat my best quote by £150. I don't like them though. Too many horror stories.

I just used their quote to go back to my insurers and they matched it. Winner.

As with so many things at the moment, there is just no standard level of service. For example, I've bought a lambda sensor recently from GSF for a price of £56, Renault wanted some stupidly daft money (over £120 IIRC) and even ECP were asking £85. I've just seen it on a well known specialist's site for over £90. It's the same product FFS! It is surely reasonable to expect stuff to be approximately the same price. If it isn't then I see it as a rip off. Competition, my ar*e.
Back to the thread - Aviva were best for me: 172 Ph1 with mods declared and over 5 years NCD is costing me about £330. Just renewed last night.

When I had a Saxo VTR (std at the time) they wanted me to pay £6,700 at 19 years old.

I pay £572 with flux on my 172, with cage, stripped, exhaust, filter, coilovers, alloys, bushes, solid mounts etc etc etc!

At 26 with 3yrs ncb + points for speeding in a goods vehicle.

Not living in a s**t hole helps imo :)

I got a quote of 800 in nov and in dec the quote went up to 1400.

They must need the money!

They did a similar thing to me, although both time i called were in October, but for the same renewal date in November and on the same reference. Worth a long discussion, and a chat to the supervisor to get it back to the original price ;)

They quoted me £5500 fully comp on my 1.2L Clio with alloys and lowering springs...

Are they mad? I mean, yes i'm a 17 year old driving a modified car which is a massive no-no for insurers but £5500 just makes me think they're having a bubble

I pay £375 for the Trophy, all mods declared, with 0 no-claims.

Living in a good area helps, but having gates to keep out the poor works wonders ;)

Shame the BMW is such a high risk motor. lol.

Wow they're expensive, I won't bother calling them then.

Sky wanted £2800 for a 330i.

My 182 was £385 in 2009 and £420 in 2010 I have just got a quote and its nearly £600. I have not claimed in years. This insurance is a joke.

I have 7 years no claims, and with cams bodies, etc etc they wanted 1300!! I'm 28, no accidents no points WTF?? Greenlight, £420
