Renault Clio RS 182
Yes you need to bleed each wheel in the order they tell you. It's step by step process. RS Tuner is the same.
Fantastic, looks like I’ve got there in the end 🤣 how did you find your battery handled going through the test?Yes you need to bleed each wheel in the order they tell you. It's step by step process. RS Tuner is the same.
Great news. The battery was fine to be fair but it's always been lazy turning over on starting - even though the battery is brand new - so I think there may be an earthing issue [common on these 182s] and I'm going to replace the earth cable at some stage.
Thanks so much for that. That's an interesting one alright... I was originally thinking it might be that - as it's positioned in the firing line for all the weather etc... - but I noticed the battery cable was a tad warm the other day after I started it. I agree, it's not the battery itself. What did you do in the end ? New alternator or recon ?Always worth a quick double check but a lazy battery might not always be the battery. The 1x2 alternators sometimes seem to lose the plot and start drawing voltage when the engine is off. I’ve had 2 do it on mine over the years - proper irritating.

Thanks again for this.
I’ll check myself again but I am very sure I didn’t 😂 they aren’t stock pads, EBC Yellow StuffsDouble check you have not fitted a pad backwards. I wouldnt expect much noise on new brakes, especially if stock pads
Glad the pedal is solid, that's a positive.
With new discs and pads there should be no grinding noise at all. EBC pads won't cause grinding.
I'm assuming we're talking about the fronts here ? Did you take the caliper to bits and ensure the sliders are moving smoothly ? These are notorious for seizing and it's definitely worth regreasing them etc... when you've got them apart.
If the rears, then there's all the messing with the handbrake winders. If that's not done right, then you can be left with them dragon

Yeah fronts, rears are running new standard brembo pads and OE discsGlad the pedal is solid, that's a positive.

Yeah, that was my plan. I won't be able to during the week but first job come the weekend again to do a proper bedding in procedure for the pads as recommended by EBC. As I said, over the 10 mins I was driving the grinding got less and less and the wear looked like it was getting more and more even... so Friday/ Saturday will be the main testOK.
Have you done more driving ? Maybe give it 100 miles or so of urban driving with gentle braking to bed them in. If the grinding doesn't stop and/or the pad wear is still very uneven, you'll likely to have to take the caliper off and see if there's something misaligned or wedged in there ?
