Advice on brake bleeding process for 182 [with ABS]

  Renault Clio RS 182
Great news. The battery was fine to be fair but it's always been lazy turning over on starting - even though the battery is brand new - so I think there may be an earthing issue [common on these 182s] and I'm going to replace the earth cable at some stage.

yeah mine is a touch lazy too, think I’ll leave it that way until I can be bothered to go at the car again

My plan is to connect a pressure bleeder (decent pump one) with 5L of regular DOT4 to go through to get all the air out and then fill the last 1.5L with Motul RBF600

Does that sound about right to you? I’m at my wits end with this now so just want to get it right first time 🤣

Yeah use cheap dot4 until pedal is good, then fill/bleed with the good stuff.

Battery should be fine whilst bleeding abs with diag on, its only a ten min job. If battery is a bit iffy, stick a charger on it whilst running the diag.

@Brit as @Brigsy said run regular Dot4 through it until the pedal's good and then use the Motul at the end.

It's a real pain the first time you do it, but I've done it a few times now and I've got it licked.
