Advice on my cup!

  Weeman sucks ****

To cut a long story short...the paint job on my bonnet is sh*te! Its covered in stone flakes (not chips as renault keep saying). They wont do a thing for me so Ive got some cash together to get it sprayed properly.

The thing is, do I go to the bodyshop that my dealer uses or someone that I know do a good job? Is there anything that will effect the re-sale? Also, if I do go through the renault way, should I get it stamped for reference?

Any help would be fantastic, cheers.

Go to someone you know will do a good job, then when you come to sell it, it shouldnt effect the resale value as it should be hard to spot.

Where the paint has flaked off, not chipped. I know what a real stone chip looks like and theyre not as big as whats on my bonnet...13 times!!!

How long have you owned the car? Id tell renault to fcuk off and threaten court procedures. You do have 1 year warrenty on your paint!

I know. I have argued this but they said that they wouldnt be able to do a warranty job because theyd have to file the problem stone chips, which is a right pain!

Also, the fact that the bonnet has been resprayed (according to chips away) and another source doesnt matter, cos they wont beleive me!!

I cant be arsed to fight it, I nearly took Ford to court over my last car and that was a whole lot of grief.

Ill get a couple of quotes and weigh it up. Cheers for you advice fellas.

Get an independant inspection, confirm that it isnt stone chips, and get Renault to fix it under warranty. Im sure the paint warranty is more than one year. If your dealer wont play ball, try somewhere else.

You shouldnt have to pay for a respray.

Can you sugect someone that could check it out? And, wouldnt renault say no unless one of their guys checks it?

Ive read a post on here about the AA being crap at checks.
