Yes that resistor and have never had the lights on before. Didn't do anything to the seat except move it slightly forward to get a mat out the back to kneel on.I take it the light was off before? Maplin code M3R3? Tried checking plugs under seats?
Would this work or should I try another 2 alternative resistors I bought at the same time? What if I undo the battery terminal again and reconnect? Do anything?
So take to Renault and get them to delete the code? (I've got a renault dealer in my group I've got a good relationship with so no issue getting them to do it.)Once the light is on its on for good until you can reset it with a Clip System or the like. The best thing to do is just delete the light in the Clip system. No need for resistors then.
With the Clip system you can Permanently delete the light so i doesn't ever come back on. Not sure Renault would like doing it but it is possible. @Mike@Rentech has done mine in the past Mike.
Glad i read this as i was going to try and fix this sometime this week. Do you think Renault might refuse to delete the light? Is there any independants with CLIP near Oxford.Once the light is on its on for good until you can reset it with a Clip System or the like. The best thing to do is just delete the light in the Clip system. No need for resistors then.
That's where my issue has been. I didn't double over and even though I have now, the light will remain.resistors worked on mine, had to triple fold them at the end to make sure they made contact properly though
As Chris mentioned, I'll have to take to Renault and get them to remove it with Clip with any luck.
Can you elaborate on what triple folding is?
Ah right, I was soldering so probably dont need to worry about this. cheers mate.Fold the resistor wire three times either end so its thicker (and shorter)
Or as @1812lsd said.
You can get away with a single/double fold if you leave a loop at the end but it's loser and probably wont make contact properly.
