Air con re-gassing in N.Wales/N.West

nearest kwik fit but make shur u watch em sometimes they just blast the air into the cab so it feels cold when you get in!!

Yeah will do mate. Aparently theres a guy that does it where i work but i have to wait untill my mate gets off the sick to get his number. If i get it i'll pass it on to ya. Where in n.wales are you?

Could be, not really down Rhyl very much, maybe Rhuddlan though. Im from Holywell

you can buy refill cans from halfords for £25 or so, connect up to the correct pipe - i forget which one it is.

instructions ar on the back of the can and it has a dial on the outlet hose to say when it has enough gas.

maybe best to go to halfords and have a look at the instructions on one of the tins of the gas - then work out if it sounds too complicated.

there are two connections for gassing the ac, you need to connect to the suction, cant remember which one it is though and i dont have my 172 anymore to check. start the engine and put on the ac, there is a guage on the connection pipe of the refrigerant gas tin which tells you when the system has enough gas in it. disconnect hose and enjoy!

Phoned this garage again, turns out its a 2 minute drive from my house! I think its usually a VW specialist as my mate and my sister take there car's there and they keep going back. He said i can take it any time after 9am, no need to book in too. Think i'll take it thursday morning so i'll let you know how it goes if you want.

The garage is Hillcrest, there is car sales and a bodywork place there too. its the 1st garage as you come in to Holywell off the A55 (if your coming in from chester side)

I did hear the garage in Sychdyn did it, do you know how much they charge? i'd be surprised if they can beat £30 though

Got the clio re-gassed today at hilcrest, Holywell. Great service well recomended. He's got all the top equipment. Took about 30 mins. Clio's are supose to have 650 grams of fluid in the system aparently. Mine had 0g! He put a dye in the system too so he can check if for leaks for me next week. So far so good though
