Aircon Button Paint Flaking!?

So i was sat in my Clio... as i often am, when i noticed some white stuff (looked like abit of a sticker or some paper - avoid the puns please) stuck to the AUTO button on the aircon.

So naturally i tried to pick it off using my thumb, only to discover that it wasnt actually a sticker (or paper - or anything else) at all - it was where some of the rubberised paint had begun to flake off the button revealing the white plastic!... SERIOUSLY how shonky are Renault!?

Is this a common problem with Clios/Renault cars? Does anyone know how easy it is to pry the button off the console without damaging - i've seen rubberised paint in Halfords so carefully repairing it shoudlnt be too much of a problem im hoping..

mmm probably true - wouldn't like to think what renault woudl charge me for one though :S

Has anyone else had this problem with the dash buttons?

Not with a dashboard button. But my old tv remote done that

The fan button on mine has one little flake come off, but not as bad as that. Just normal wear and tear I'd say.
