Aircon hassles

Clio dci80 2003 with aircon/climate.The aircon doesnt operate when pushing the button the drive cluch isnt engaging so no chilled air....

Is there a simple test or fuse to check?? The system has gas.

I dont really want dealers to mess for the sake of it??

Any ideas anyone??

speak to an aircon specialist. most compressors have a magnitec clutch its possible this packed up or could be a leak or need regassing.

Sounds tight but I didnt want to be throwing money around on ifs and maybes!

aircon specialists are normally about half the price per hour of a main dealer added to the fact they only deal with A/C so will know what to look for, if you cant work out whats wrong with the car infront of you then we can only guess. Your best bet is to let someone who knows what they are doing sort it for you.
