Alarm problems

Just got my car back after a timing belt/dephaser pulley change. Now when I lock the car the alarm gives a constant high pitched beep which lasts about 2-3 minutes then stops. I realise they had to take the bumper etc off but can't understand why any of this would upset the alarm ? Gonna be phoning them up first thing Monday but need my car this weekend and its 200 mile round trip to get to the garage,was wandering if anyone had any ideas on what could be wrong and how to fix it.

Check the bonnet switch has been refitted, and is plugged in (its usually on the right of the slam panel, near the headlight)

That's exactly what it was! The switch wasn't quite located properly. All fixed now though. Thanks bud.
