When born the first Clio RS, back in 2000 at the plant of Renault Sport (ex Alpine) in Dieppe, France, said this:
"The Clio RS is one of the most effective and rapid sports that we can drive on any road with curves. So much so that it is almost as fast as an Audi S3 (210 hp), a Honda S2000 (241 hp) or to a BMW Z3 M Roadster (321 hp) is prevalent in areas where the effectiveness of the frame over the engine's power ... the secret: their good performance weight (6.1 kg / hp )."......
Outwardly it is clearly distinguishable from other Clios, has front fenders and front and rear bumpers specific sockets on the sides and with the insignia baguetas "2.0 16v". In this version the changes are looking at the back, where it now has two exhaust outlets in central and alloy wheels with tires in 205/45 R16 measures. Version "Team"
Inspired by the car that won the French Rally Championship 2003 Team version, carrying the chassis "Sport" that benefits for some stiffer springs and dampers and a thicker stabilizer, anthracite wheels and also lost 20 kg on the 182 normal, becoming one of the best mini GTI's of the moment.
