As above really.....comes with ipod adaptor and everything for £160
Does it sound ok? are alpinea any good head unit wise? I dont want anything too fancy, buying it mainly for the ipod feature really, so any thoughts would be appreciated

Cheers

Tom

Quality. I paid £185 6 months ago including all the gubbins necessary for remote/display useage. A vast improvement.

Oh rite, if i want the stalk adaptor and things it comes to £200 :-S
Where'd you order from out of interest?

Tom

I ordered from Pixmania.com and used 2-3 various discount codes. That worked out at 151.50 delivered then I bought the adaptors from caraudiodirect IIRC.

Ah i see.....dont happen to still have those discount codes/know if any still work do you? if not then it'll have to be caraudiodirect

cheers

Tom

I've just forund a code for Caraudiodirect: 7e6e57. Not sure if it works but free carriage apparently.

grr code doesnt work, says invalid credit card for some reason lol
i'll check froogle and failing that i'll stick with original plan

Cheers

Tom

Edit.Code DOES work, cheers :-)

What did you get it all for in the end? Did you get the stalk adaptor as well?

£196 delivered including stalk adapter and the other bit you need thats brand dependent. Not too bad i dont think. thanks for that code.....where'd u get it?
Quick question, what shows up on the in car display when u use the stalk adaptor? does it just say Alpine?

Cheers

Tom

Not a bad price there. I don't think you would get it for much less in 6 months time. I found the code in the members section of a S2000 forum LOL.

The display says Alpine when music is playing, seek up/down when you change track and volum up/down IIRC.

cool, as long as it says something - i hate looking at a blank screen, does my head in - too much grey lol
Seems like a good buy and seeing as ur satisifed then shud be ok

Cheers again for that code - just gotta work out how to install it now lol. I know how to install a standard aftermarket HU, its just the stalk adaptor that i'll be confused by :S

Cheers

N'eh worries. I hate to see people spend money they don't need to.

The stalk adaptor is easy, it simply plugs in line between the standard stalk loom and the headunit with a headphone style jack in the back of the headunit as well. The hard part is hiding all of the wires and arranging them so that the unit slides back.

I found the best way to tackle this was to re-jig the loom so that it came out at the other side of the openeing, when you get the Renault unit out you will see what I mean.

Brilliant, thats what i hoped for, something easy. I hope it doesnt go the same way as fitting my rear light clusters today - need 2 new indicator bulbs lol

Cheers
