Alpine HU ipod control Q?

Ive got a Alpine CDE-9850Ri stereo, I just got a ipod.

Ive got it pluged in, it plays all the songs, but I can only scroll through all the songs in one long list!

Is there a button so you can select genre, artist, ect?

Any help apreciated because i havent got the instructions for it:S
