Alpine Type S Door Speakers

hi all,

just got some alpine type s door speakers in the post, but the tweeter points downwards. i was wondering if i turned the speaker upside down, so the tweeter pointed more up if it would improve the sound quality, or would it be exactly the same regardless.

also (as ive not yet checked) does anyone know off hand which wire in the door goes to +ive and -ive. i.e. is positive striped for example.

turning the speaker around will help due to getting better postioning Im assuming you own an older clio due to you getting coaxs.

As for the speaker cable TBH head units dont give out enough power to run aftermarket speakers and the clios arnt any different get yourself a nice 2 channel amp abd run them off that that way you wont need to trace all the cabling. Failing that whip the headunit out and it should say on the cables what colour etc goes to where.

cheers yeah. ive actually got a 2003 dynamique but dont want to go down the components route yet, and only bought these speakers as they were cheap on ebay as i thought theyd sound better than the non-existent sounding speakers that are there at the moment.
