Alternator rumble

I'm in the middle of stripping down my engine bay for an engine swap and noticed when I turn the alternator by hand it sounds a bit rough. Very little play but doesn't sound smooth. I think the bearings need changed and thought I would be as well doing this when it was all stripped.

Anyone know if any special tools are needed to strip the alternator or anything I should expect whilst stripping?

Didn't think the bearings could be changed mate. Could be wrong though.

That's all that would be done with a service exchange along with new windings.

Might have a go anyway to see if it can be done.
