alternator

hi the alternator on my car is making a noise so am going to change it. i have been told my car needs an 90 amp alternator. could any1 tell me if this is true. my car is a 2002 clio sport 172 cup

Just had mine changed mate, not too sure on amp but there were a few different ones but needed the serial number or model of the one fitted to get the right one!
