Amazon fire TV sticks

Mine was shocking until last week then it's been fine (touch wood). No lag during the football (which is usually often).

The TV guide never loads and the UI is a bit pants. The guy who loads everything up loves wrestling apparently, it's most of the "new" content on there.

Will be expired in October so will be looking for a better service.

Mine wouldn't even load last week but that was Jess telling me it wouldn't work

I take everything tech with a pinch of salt because usually it just needs a cache clearing

Mine has been spot on since I started running it on an Apple TV box.

Been spot on.

Frustrating though, the best one I have had was last September to this September and I can't get a hold of the guy. Movies and TV shows are immense and the live TV spot on.

Signed up to a new one through my mate who does them to give it a try. My mum has had his for about 3 years and it's been no hassle since start of August. Just not as many movies and TV shows as the last one!

Mine's perfect, I've been using it for about 7 years now. It's not free, but works spot on.

I've had one for 4 year's now with the same Chap - on a Firestick and my I-pad/Phone - works a dream however sometimes I need to connect my IP Vanish VPN.

They’ve finally sorted VPNs on the TVOS so it’s literally baked in like on the phones/ipads.

That with an IPTV app makes it very good.
Do you have a online guide for it? I'd be tempted to pick a subscription back up if it means not having to use a firestick!

There’s not much to it.

Find the app for your VPN of choice, and then pick an IPTV that will work with the service you want to use. I do pay 99p a month for the app I’m using because it’s the best one I’ve found.

PM me if you want any specifics for it.

Anyone else's stick just gone to absolute pure shite or just mine?
Mine went s**t during the Liverpool game a few times. Had a few minutes of black screen.
Also when selecting channel, it goes back to the Amazon home screen quite often.

Is it the stick or the provider? They're super aggressive against football streams these days

It's time to go back to the old ways, a Gigantic satellite dish in the back garden and a Turkish card to get Bein.

Mines playing up tonight… buffering iPlayer every few seconds, very annoying.

What a weekend. Some services collapsed completely. Interesting one of the biggest providers too. Literally didnt get back up to the DDD AJ fight then went off during the PL on sunday.

Wild.

Anyway, VPNs on for many things and you are fine.

Always open for recommendations if anyone needs any :)

I'll be in touch mid October for a recommendation when mine is up.

Currently mine doesn't have VPN, (that's extra) the TV schedule never loads (despite very fast internet) and it's been quite laggy when looking through the menu. Click a channel to watch and it goes back to the Amazon home page.
Running on a 4k fire stick.

Why even wait till october? We are talking pennies here if you wait. Really say £100 a year is still 0.27p a day. Hardly worth waiting on a shite service till end of the term.

Tbf, I hardly use, it's for football mainly. Thought I'd just get one when mine expires (checked and it's 6th October) and I'm away for a big chunk of October with work and holiday so wasted money really. #tight.

Yes I noticed everything fell over just before the fight was due to start.

They obviously know the source for these and block them at ISP level, more and more service providers seem to be enacting the blocks now.

Absolute aids today with any sport channel.
Works fine on other live TV, films and series.

Tried rebooting the WiFi and the stick but all I get is playback error.

That’s got to be your provider if it’s working on everything else.

Is there an idiots guide to getting a Fire stick setup in this thread?
There are Prime discounts in a few days and I'm going to grab one for me and one for my Dad.

Buying the stick from Amazon is the easy bit. Buy the one you want during the sale. Finding a reliable IPTV app is more work. The 1st one I went with was a bag of $hite. The one I've got now has been perfect for the 16 months I've had it.

I'm £75 a year for everything plus £15 for multi-room.

As for how to setup? Each app is slightly different but you'll definitely not find the information on an open/public forum given the nature of them.

Download app called AceTally... in feedback, search for yy and it transforms the app into this:

You can then screen share to get on to TV. Everything is basically there, but you can also browse through Netflix/Prime etc. as if you were logged into an account. Sure it won't last forever though.

Not in android store I'm afraid.

Syncler ftw for TV and Films that aren't live footage imo. Pay for Real debrid and get easy access to everything in 4k. so easy to use too it would be absolutely perfect if it included live sports etc but outside of that it's been amazing for me.
