Been on the lookout for some more non Sport interior bits and @mart.z.s sold me a hazard panel and the trim below the radio. Another simple swap out and more of the manky old trim gone.

Can’t believe it’s been 4 months since I was here....been busy working so no major updates on my Clio other than driving and enjoying.

In other news, we’ve replaced Mrs Coops’ car with another Clio. She wanted to downsize and this is perfect for her. Initial impressions are positive - interior is genuinely excellent, noise levels impressive and no sense of being underpowered at all. Colour pretty nice too 😎

I've a 182 on Eibach Sportlines and Cup Turinis. I too am looking at spacing the wheels out.
Do you get any kind or rubbing on full lock or hard compressions?

Great, have you added any camber at all to tuck the tops of the tyres?
Ive seen front tyres catching on the bumper mounts on 205 section rubber with 16mm spacers and et38.5 Turinis.

None at all mate. Other than spacers and springs it’s standard. The ride height isn’t massively reduced on these springs so that might be a factor.

New Clio coated. Borrowed a space in a mate’s shop to sort as I wanted to get it done as soon as possible.

Washed and decontaminated and the paint was amazingly flawless - not a single mark from poor dealer prep which is a first for me. Primed using Car Pro Essence then 2 coats of Cquartz UK and a single layer of Reload. Glass with Gtechniq G1 (3 coats to front and rear screens).

Wheels done last Sunday - Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels inside & out (2 coats to the faces) and interior protected with Gtechniq L1 to leather and Carbon Collective Repel to all fabrics.

It’s the b****cks mate. Not sure it’s massively different to Gtechniq but you do get more for your £££ 👍

The new daily. Ran an estate version as a company car a few years back and rated is massively. Needed more space so this was the logical choice ✅
Needs a ton of paint correction and coatings but nothing I can’t sort.

Otherwise a few cosmetic mods and that’s it. No remaps, suspension or wheels lol

Did a thing with my tailgate badge to tie in with the other yellow highlights. Happy with the result.

Next job is to tidy up the door catches 🤣

Daily corrected and ceramic coated. Needed 2/3 stages as it was properly nasty. TAC System Quartz Max x 2 coats and looking alright. Wheels Carbon Collective Platinum and Gtechniq Exo.

Clio sat outside while the Skoda was curing through the storm last weekend. Expecting her to refuse to start as a telling off but all good 🤣

Its a bit rough and ready to be honest so it's never going to be worth anything as a standard car. I think the paint will have faded a lot around the standard Renault badge though.

Spent today on another Clio today owned by @iyrix

Cracking example which has never seen paint and gets used properly. 2 stage polish and ceramic coating to paint. Love this car 👌

Lockdown day and the missus stepped in to take over home schooling. Headlights restored, new bonnet catch fitted, fog surrounds Plast-Dip’d and wiper arms painted satin black. Noticed that the front arches inside looking a bit poo so that’s the next job along with some polishing as usual 🤣

I’ve also got new rubber for the front and it was booked for tomorrow for dephaser, belts, coolant bottle change and service. Clearly that’s all postponed for the foreseeable but other stuff going on out there but more important right now 👍

Second day of garage isolation. Machine applied Zymol HD Cleanse then 2 coats of Quadra. New one and apparently $500...leaves a glossy and very slick finish.

Front arches tidied up. Cleaned and dressed the plastic and cable tied the main bumper attachment points as they’re split. Treated and touched in a couple of spots of corrosion on the shocks and replaced the fixing screws for the 150th time. They’ll be rusty after 3 washes.

Into the sun for some pics then back away again.
