Another 4 pot brake question

My calipers have 2 nipples per half, 4 per caliper side... Can you plug the top ones to make bleeding the brakes easier?

Reason for asking is that I've seen some with blanks on the top and other with piping connecting the upper halves... Are there any cons to plugging them?

These will be so they are not handed right or left.

Bleed the nipples at the top as that is where the air will be.
