I haven't really posted a lot on here so I thought I'd put some pictures up of my 182...
*** Please note this has been copied from another forum so hopefully will make sense! ***
I bought this back in January as a replacement for my Saab 9-3.
First day I owned it I replaced all the orange bulbs for Silvertecs (I hate orange bulbs...)
I had only owned the car for a couple of weeks when this happened:
I could have moaned but this gave me the opportunity to fit a Scorpion system (library picture):
A couple of tyres were getting a bit low so I bought a new present:
New gear lever insert:
Tax Disc Holder:
Metal Foot Rest:
Before:
After:
Little plate:

Please note I don't have that little plate on very often...
Last Saturday (12th May) I was driving home from work when the battery light came on the dash. Got home from work and put a multimeter on it - alternator died... Quick call to Renault parts department had one on order... Once I removed the bumper I found this:
The top bolt was missing... Bugger! Closer inspection revealed this:
Removed the alternator and found more damage:
Removed air-con pipe:
Whilst the bumper was off I took advantage of this and made a couple of modifications to it. Firstly I added a Skoda splitter to the bottom of it:
Then I sorted another common fault on these which is the headlight washer jets leak badly after being used. To get around this a couple of one-way valves were fitted:
After being off the road for about 4 weeks waiting for parts / money I finally got it back on the road. Needless to say the first drive was slightly "spirited" - especially as the mpg reader was well under 20!
I have put some Renault Sport stickers on the rear windows which I will upload some pictures tomorrow.
I also had some left over spray paint from when I had my VR6 Golf so I decided to have a play with the fog light surrounds. So 4 coats of primer, 7 coats of main coat and 3 coats of primer later:
Not bad for a first attempt although in this photo you can see where someone decided to use my bumper to stop their trolley in a car park... I will be purchasing some yellow caliper paint next weekend ready to get them done.
Also when I renewed my insurance I decided to add an air filter to the modifications list (even though I haven't got one yet!) and the cost difference was extortinate... a grand total of £0 for the whole year! I think I need to get a panel filter..
Plans:
Get air con sorted as currently not working
Calipers to be painted yellow
Full service including cam belt (will be sent to Cit-Ren in Norwich for cam belt)
K&N filter (cone or panel)
30mm drop maybe?
LED number plate lights
Possible wheels refurbished in black or anthracite
Front bumper repair / respray
Become a full member of Cliosport!
Thoughts please!
(apologies for some of the images being the wrong way round, I rotated them on photo editor to the correct way but they've not uploaded to photobucket correctly. I'll try and sort them one day!)
