Another neeeewbie

Hi all.

Thought I should introduce myself as new here..

I'm 38yrs old. Been a HUGE fan of Renaultsport cars since I was 19 when I was an apprentice at a local renault dealers.

Countless hours spent dribbling over the 5 turbo (had 2) 21 turbos 19 16v and when the 172 came out.....

MY GOD I was blown away.

Anyway left dealers and moved onto different hobbies.

Have finally decided nows the time to fulfill that dream and own a 172.

Can't decide ph1 or 2 as yet. I have a car for sale elsewhere once sold. ..... I'll be shopping.

Ph.1 is the rawest and fastest but the Ph.2 is a little nicer to live with

Welcome! I would always have said ph2 but my tastes have definitely changed and I'd say get a ph1 too.

Is there much in the handling stakes? The ph1 compared to a ph2 cup?
