yes i am mate, very good as well! i think someone else is on here as well....! cant remember his name off hand though! iv re-allocated it nearer the radiator now though, so its got a cold air feed direct from the bumber into it!
yeah i bought mine from someone with the adaptor already made. but at the min its not on the car, iv just got some nice silicone ducting which it gaffer taped to my TB lol! works a treat might even leave it like that!
I think I may have been one of the first to use the CDA. Basically approached a place on the web who I thought were importers but were Fiat tuners and they dealt with the importers, eurostyling.
I drew round my throttle body and also photocopied it. They made an adapter out of mild steel and put a lip on it for SPS silicon hose to attach. Job done. Think they wanted me to go down again and they would make the adaptor out of stainless steel and also play about with it and then market it although they are just outside of london so was too far for me to travel.
I am happy and it is better than the K&N that was on the car when I got it.
yeah i did have to move the battery a bit, but now iv re-allocated it i dont have to....ill get some pics up...the cold air feed goes direct into the fog light hold for now till i get a new bumper, as mines cracked!
What did you use for the feed. I just used the corrugated pipe that came with the CDA pointing downwards then scooped to the from but not long enough to get near the bumper.
Dont know if it will make much difference if I can get a longer piece of hose and attach it to the bumper.
i used some 70mm ducting from halfords from the foggie to the original hole for the airfeed. chopped!
then from there joined it onto some more that was bent in just the right shape to go into the CDA! then from the CDA into the TB iv got some of that flexible bendy silcone expensive sh*te from DT! heatproof and mega thick, but cost me about £36. managed to get it in blue though
What exactly is a BMC? Im guessing it is some kind of closed induction kit and how much better it is than a standard box with a replacement panel filter? Sorry to sound a bit dense......deeeer!
I saw them on the Clio cups at Oulton but didnt realise you could adapt them to a road car.
this fella should be able to sort u one out, i was discussing it with him a while back but got one from someone else! my CDA is from a BMW Z3. thats the only way i have managed to fit it where it is! not like on the pic above, near the front, ill get some pics tomorrow!!!
