any1 got a pic of where there engine number is on the 172???

Hi all I asked the other day where the engine number would be on my girlfriends 172 cup as really cant see it anywhere. was told it was stamped on the right hand side of the block but is hard to read. I have tried my hardest to find it with this info and really cant see it anywhere. There is a bit on it that says renault FPH or something like that but thats all it says.

I would really appreciate it if anyone has a pic of where it is that they could show me as were trying to find out if it has had an engine swap.

Its stamped into the block close to where Renault FDR is cast into it, its stamped into the block and rust will have probably covered it but it is stamped there.

Bizarrely I took a picture of mine last night, but I won't be home for a couple of days. I'll post it Saturday if no one else does it for you. If I didn't already know the number I wouldn't have been able to read it.

It will probably look like a bit of corrosion in a vertical line on a flat area of the block about 2"x3". It is in the bottom right hand corner of the block (as looked at from the front).
