unless you are doing a few trackdays and are fashion conscious of the minimal rubber look i would stay with 45's, if you have lowered suspension with 40's it is a harder ride, ppl with 17's usually have 40's because they like to fill the arches with bling instead.
Doubt it'd be noticebaly much more harsh than the 45's already on...I'd be more concerned about it looking shite TBH as 172 have tons of arch clearance as is!
