Most manufacturers will 're-allign' the spec line up at the start of the year..
The Clio range has been simplified and additional spec added.
A Dynamique now has 16" Wheels and sports wings, a/c, auto lights/wipers and 4 speaker stereo.
Dynamique 'S' Has basically spec of the old 138 2.0
and the bodykit (SX style) is an option
Certainly makes them easier to sell!:approve:

a face lift would really have hacked me off
i understand that but they the bits i paid extra :dapprove: for so ive got an 08 model with extras
colour coded folding mirrors parking sensors(which you cant order as a factory option
) corning lights now an option so in theroy my cars more upto date an has a few things that you wont get now

The SX Bodykit is around £800 sprayed and fitted from renault I seem to remember from when I was pricing up the dynamique s with the bodykit option. I assume it will cost quite abit more still, for a dynamique s with the kit, but you get those added extras that now come as standard on the s that werent on the SX.
I paid just over £10,375 for my SX 1.2 TCE (with the twin sports exhaust option). Surprised to hear the SX is no longer available, and just abit annoyed at the dynamique s now coming with the revised spec, with AC as standard (think it was a £500 option on the SX), could also have done with this better quality radio, mine just came with the standard 2 speaker system, quite a poor setup TBH.

The Bodykit price depends where/how the s-dealer orders it;
If you order it with the car, it is fitted at Southampton Docks (as per the SX) is called the 'Classic Sport Bodykit' and retails @ £910.
If it is ordered seperately through parts department will cost way over £1000.

There are 2 bodykits in the clio brochure
Universal sport kit which says it's for models with 15" + 16" wheels and the Racing bodykit which is for models with 15" wheels - this 1 looks a bit too aftermarket whereas the Universal kit looks quite smart
I suppose £800 inc paint + fitting isn't too bad as a VX XP kit cost me around £800 without paint + fitting (£1200 all in)

djniggle the twin 'sport exhaust' was a dealer fitted extra with the car and cost me £300. Not sure what it would be if bought separately I imagine abit more though, if they want £1000+ for the sx bodykit.
Heres a photo of the exhaust, only one I've got, not a great pic but you get the idea..
I think it suits the car quite well especially with the sx rear skirt trim. Although not too pleased with the movement of it, seems to wobble about quite abit under the rubber mount, and from behind doesn't look too clever, but need to get onto renault about that one!

Clio lll Dynamique SX TCE
Ive got a 2007 Sx with the 1.2 tce engine and ive got to admit its a great car. ive found that i get alot of compliments about the way it looks and in certain cases goes. also, it has been mistaken for the 197 a couple of times too lol. Dont belive the facts about the fuel economy though as im currently getting about 30 mpg around town and around 35 - 40 on motorway runs. and thats with out putting my foot down so god help me when i do lol.

ive also had the sports exhaust problem with movement and its been took back to renault about 3 times telling them to sort it out and they cant do anything about it apperntly. it dont realyl make much sound differnce till u start to take it over 2k rpm and its a bit more rumbly at lower rmp but thats it. its more style than anything lol

have you not cut the exhaust slot out of the rear spilter yet :S

daydotz, no I haven't had the cut out made into the rear splitter for the exhaust yet, its going back into Renault this Wednesday hopefully to have them look at it again, and I've forwarded that copy of the fitting instruction sheet to them, detailing the cut out for the exhaust. I imagine re-positioning the exhaust into that slot will require a new mount in order to hold the exhaust in a higher position, so not something I'd be competant with carrying out myself. If all else fails looks like I'll be taking it to a local garage to have it sorted.

the sport exhaust uses the exsisting mount that is there for the standard dog tail exhaust. if i remeber correctly the sporets exhaust tips are at angles which make it the same shape as the back bumper. and i found that the body kit on the sx has a sort of line in the back of the body kit to show u were u need to cut it lol... i still wouldnt recomend doing it on your own though as it could make a mess.
