anyone got a PC near kettering?

  Not a poxy Renault
got a few minor scratches on my bonnet, tried ScratchX and SRP last weekend (3hrs) and not really happy with the result. The scratchX did lessen the scratches, but after using SRP there seemed to be lots of really fine scratches left over in the direction i was rubbing. Applied both polishes until they were no more, can't say I've ever been really happy using SRP though!
Anyway, instead of spending pounds on a PC, is there anyone on here with one near to kettering (30 miles or so away) who would be willing just to do my bonnet? as I'm pretty happy with the rest of the car.

put one on last night, no joy yet!
May have another go with the SRP, just a small amount at a time and polish until its more or less gone?

  Better than yours. C*nt.
South derbyshire/north leicestershire - just outside of Ashby-de-la-Zouch if you're interested.

A bit too far Mike, thanks for the offer. I can't decide wether to buy a PC or not (looking at £150 with spot pads and some polish). Change my mind every day. Are they as easy as everyone says to use?

£150 with pads and polish? I don't mean to destroy your hopes but to get a level of equipment necessary you're really looking towards the £300 mark by the time you have a good set of polishes, transformer, cable, polisher, all the pads you'll want (you need 2-3 of each sort to do a whole car)... It's not an easy job by a long way.

If you're not willing to come up here there's not much I can do, but if you did at some point just for a wander or even to see how well it works on my motor I'd be more than happy to show you what best part of £1500 has gone on this year...

transformer and cable I can borrow from work, I didn't realise thought that I'd need more than one of each pad to do the whole car! its in pretty good condition apart from the bonnet, just very very minor swirling on the majority of the bodywork (got to look hard for it)

Nah, I'd go for 3 of each pad in the small diameter, maybe even 4 as you get a big mess when you use a pad for too long, the product seeps to the back of the pad under pressure and eventually flings everywhere...
