Anyone had EVER had oil pump problems?

I damaged my sump the other day and looking to change it over the next week. Whilst it is off is there any point changing the oil pump whilst I am there?

I don't hear about anyone having problems with oil pumps but just putting the feelers out.

I've had 3 in so far with failing pumps or weak PRV's.

Nope, don't bother, and yes, the chain is supposed to be that loose.

So the chain is supposed to be that loose ? About 20mm slack ?
