Thier 1*2's feel when driving them with out passangers?

I mostly drive mine with passangers. I lift share when traveling to work or have my mrs with me at weekends but i have just got in from takin her for a blast on my own and wow she felt ace!

Sad aren't i?

Sad - not really mate, makes you appreciate the rapidness of a 172 with just a single person in. Imagine a radio controlled one with no passengers!

My car seems to fly when I'm on my own. Passengers do thinks it's quick but they aren't getting it's full thrill factor.

My old VTS was like this but worse due to having less torque.

How much lighter is a ph1 or a cup then? thinkin about gettin rid of the spare and stuff.

I notice this, it's annoying as it feels super quick sometimes when I'm on my own, as soon as my bf or someone gets in it, it feels slow! Bloody annoying!

I dont notice it so much with the 172 but when driving a 1.2 8v clio with 4 passengers that certainly makes a difference!!

so difference between a 172 cup and 172 is like the 172 driving it's self?

noticed the difference on track when my mate was in with me yeh. cant say ive noticed difference on road with 1 passenger... 2 passengers definately

so in theory i could have a 14 stone passenger and it'll still be as quick as a mk2 172, now imagine if i took out that 14 stone ;)

oh, hang on :quiet:

yeah.. i just hate driving my cup with a passenger.. it feels just like a full fat.. lol

Only joking (sorry had to)

I know what you mean, all cars feel alot better when driving on your own.
Weight really does make a difference.
