Apples A4 processor not so exclusive after all?

It would seem that the A4 is probably manufactured by Samsung, and that Samsung are using the exact same core in their new Wave mobile (which runs Android)

I wonder if this means that there will be a true Android port sooner or later to the iPhone4 hardware?

The more interesting side of it will mean that you could do side by side comparissons of iOS4 and Android on very similar hardware.

No it doesn't, it means the processor core is the same or very similar which is to be expected because it's the cortex core. The gate layout of the core itself does however appeas to be the same or very similar between the processors.

That's where the similarities end, the rest of the A4 chip is completely different, apple have included peripherals that they want.

Because the AMBA bus is available to them, they can create their own instructions or modify core behaviour outside of the core logic.
