arcserve r15 and lto 5 issue



just got a new LTO5 drive and it wont backup :(
keeps coming up with e63638 buffer under run errors my lto 4 is working slowly but thats because the drive has had it and my lto 2 is working fine too

the drive is an ibm half height version connecting to a new lsi sas 9200-8e card


any ideas ?
 
yep as far as i can tell patch manager on both the master server and the member server thats got the drive attached and seemingly uptodate

The Buffer Under Run message indicates the data being sent from ARCserve to the tape drive is being corrupted.

LTO2 works fine, LTO4 is slow, LTO5 does not work at all. Perhaps it is tied to the throughput, the faster drive slow due to constant reties and the fastest drive out right fails.

Use the latest driver and firmware for the LSI controller.
Update storport.sys.

Test it with just the one tape drive on the bus.
Try the controller in a different slot.
