are falken tyres any good?

my mate wants some new tyres, he doesnt drive hard but obviously im telling him to get some decent tyres anyway but he doesnt want to pay the earth.

are falken fk-452 or ziex ze 512 any good?

he needs 205/40/17.

I've got 512s on our Focus. I don't every drive hard in the wet so can't comment, but in the dry these are a great tyre for the price.

I had the 512's on my Zr (205/40/17) seemed pretty good to me, not the best but certainly not the worst

ive got ze512 on my 106 and i cant fault them for the price i paid, hold up in the wet well too compared to some others ive had

good all round tyre imo

The pirellis are a better tyre. Faulken's are an economy, Pirelli's major branded...big difference in amount of miles, grip and overall price..

Just got some 451's at a bargin price for my 182, 250.50 for a set of 4 fitted (205/45/16) 205/40/17's are even cheaper! if he wants 512s they are cheaper still and would have cost me £20 less for the set!
Company is Called R-tec No relation to K-tec! there number is 01727 790100 give them a go!

hardcore - another friend has had them on his astra and thought they were terrible, he got some proxes after that after i reccomended them and he siad they were miles better in every way....

i had no problems with uniroyal rainsports, they are very very mutch better then nangkang ns2 tyres and better then the proxes i owned before...

i really rate my proxes, transformed my car, i think they are an awesome tyre!

the uniroyal rainsport are good in the wet (obviously lol) in the dry i found them squealy and also very noisy (road noise) they lasted reasonably for their price though....
