are kwik fit tellin the truth

this is probly gettin on everyones tits but kwik fit told me they could fit my fk coil overs for £60 as a foreigner! But when i said what people have told me that the cambor and castor may need adjusting he said its b****cks and they only need adjusting if u have had a crash and knocked the wheels! he reckon that the only thing that may need adjusting is the trackin, should i trust him an pay him to fit em?

there has gotta be a mechanic who knows about this sort of stuff that posts, please help, also the kit for the back wheels on the fk are a standard height are they not?i mean they cant be adjusted like the front right?

in that case take it to your local rally prep company or race team they will do it for you and actually know what they are doing

CoilOvers need setting up properly.. so Id take it to a specialist.

and i echo what the other guys have said, kwik fit guys are overpriced tyre/exhaust fitting glorified YTS monkeys, nothing more, and they cant even get that right at times!!!!

i refuse to go to kwik fit!,

in an emergency i would use ATS and thats it!

go to a proper tuners!!

fred did his own and his are fine but he is a nutter a very nice nutter but nutter all the same lol anyone who does his rear arches in the rain with an angle grinder with sunglases on is a nutter

what area is that?

look in the back of some car magazines,

like performance vw or similar not car or the like, they have quite a few tuners listed, tell me where i might be able to give you a couple of numbers from performance vw,

dont know if they do all types of cars though? dont see why not!?

sounds like kwik fit dont know what there on about.fitting is easy enough but you need to get them set up properley.

Needed a job done quickly. Took it to Kwik Fit who then proceeded to crash my old car down the road and still tried to make me pay for the work done. Bunch of tw*ts, avoid.

Mate, if you want them fitting, ill do it for you for £40 (in birmingham, or ill travel too you for extra cost)

The rear on th FKs are height adjustable

THE CAMBER NEEDS TO BE SET PROPERLY, BUT I CAN SET IT UP GOOD ENOUGH UNTIL YOU GET IT TO A PRO (i used northampton motorsport)

More like kwik buck - they charge a fortune!!

I needed a battery urgently and the only place I could find was sh*t-fit £60!!

I used to have stuff done at my local one for free though cause I knew the people that worked there - Id buy the things I need at a proper price then get it fitted there for free!!

Not any more though
