ariel lead

Hi guys,

bit of a problem for u...the end of my ariel which plugs into the back of the radio has snapped...well the center pole has which carries the radio signal...so i have next to no signal at the min. Anyone know how the cable is routed if i have to replace it? and is it the ball ache of a job i think it will be? any pics appreciated lol

afaik the aerial cable travels up the A pillar at the side of the windscreen mate and up into the roof lining. I have no idea which side tho, but I'm sure somebody will be able to help you more :)

From what I can remember theres only wires on the passenger side so if it goes up the A pillar it'll be in there.

had a look up the a pillars earlier and cant see it anywere so wondering if it runs along the door sills then up the rear pillars?

Nearside "A" post then accross the front of the dash down to the radio.

You can get a plug from Tandy and solder it back on, the coax is a bit awkward though as its so called "air spaced" so when you take the old plug off, dont pull the centre conductor or you will have enough to knit a sweater.
