AST Rear Coilovers - Top Stuff!!

Had a few issues with my rear LEDA units so decided insted of servicing them I would get the AST Rear Coilovers. Arrived today and fitted, just been out for a drive and they are amazing. Went for the stiffer spring option and there on the softest setting but they soak up the bumps so well, so much more comfortable than my LEDA's have been recently.

Only issue now is that the spring rates are very differnt front to back but AST's cant get the same ammout of camber that I have on the LEDA's, something about issues with the front wheels hitting the damper but the car is very comfy all round so it will do for the time being! its either front AST's or try slightly stiffer springs on the LEDA's ... maybe next month!

Very happy with these so far, will see how they are after the next 4 days at the 'ring!

how do the coilies work on the rear, (pardon my ignorance)

so you just scrap the springs that sit on the torsion beam?

yep, get rid of the stock springs and shocks on the rear, its not a tortion beam on the back in the same sence as it is on the old clio and 5 more of a swinging arm, the rear coilover then uses the original shock points to be mounted
