At least I didn't swerve...

Just to add to the topic of road kill. I once hit a deer and made a right mess of my escort. (bonnet, grill, bumper, wing, headlight......ect.)
A man and woman came out the house to see what had happened and she says, "shall we call a vet?" to which i replied "not unless you want to pay the bill. i think your better off calling a butcher".
I carried on my way and about 2 hours later was passing the same spot and the deer had gone. obviously into someones freezer.

Hare was well dead. Stopped pretty much instantly. And realised a chunk of bumper was missing.

So reversed back along this pitch black road. Don't worry, was 1am in the wilds on the fell. No other cars about. Picked up my bumper piece (covered in hate hair :p) photographed and went on to pick up my drunken friend.

When I got their I told him he owed me a bumper haha...

Nice to see I got off lightly. That pheasant that hit the bonnet... That amount of damage is pure unlucky :(

Also... Who wants to call a vet on a road kill. Dear me haha. **venison for dinner
