I would say no, finger in a cloth with some wax on it should do the trick. :approve:

I would use Quick Detail Spray on the above bits.

take them off and do them? the reno badge is only held on by three prongs then clean them in safety

Just use ordinary wax on it I do brings them up great

so is it easy to take the badges off, for easy cleaning of the boot lid? do you just pull them off?

Only the Clio comes of easily I think, The R/sport ones are stuck on.

I work round them with the 4 inch pads on.

They are a must for the clio - tailgate, lower half of the car (doors, quarters) and the front and rear valences will be hard to do with normal sized pads.
