Auto headlight stalk Clio Mk3

  1.6 Astra Sporthatch
Hey,

I've got a Clio Mk3 extreme WITHOUT automatic headlights, and went to a breakers yard today and they had a Clio that was identical to mine, without the auto headlights function, but the stalk has the AUTO button fitted on the end?

This confused me a little so I spoke to Renault parts Wolverhampton on the phone who said basically Renault now only make one switch, and it will always have the AUTO button on the end, and the same connector, just on the non auto equipped cars the auto button won't work?

Can anyone confirm this? Also does anyone know the quickest and easiest way to change the stalk over?

Cheers

For anyone interested in future yes the stalks identical - only difference is the auto button doesn't work.
