ball joint - hub

Has anyone got any good tips on how to remove the hub from the ball joint,

im having a hard time doing it, i can get the nut off,
but the bolt seems well and truley in there

any hints would be grand!

any tips on getting the hub nut off a car in a scrap yard (i.e. no wheels, and off the floor??)

Put two wheel bolts in, and use a lever between them to hold it steady.
