Bast#rd scratch/key on my rear quarter glass...

Abit like the menzerna on glass thread..

Parked my car up in said car park, come back to it and some obvious fat fxcker struggling to squeeze through has scratched all down the side of my rear quarter glass with most probably a handbag/buckle.

It's just a long line of what looks like it's been keyed but hasn't. The scratch isn't exactly deep but you can faintly feel the depth of it running a fingernail through it. Emphasis on faintly.

I know it's only glass but it's pissing me right off to the fact it's there. I know it's there. It shouldn't be there. So it's annoying me greatly.

whats the chances of it actually buffing out with a orange pad and poorboys SSR3 (only heaviest combo I have) ??

If you can feel it with your fingernail, none.

A professional glass polisher may be able to make it look better, but if it's deep enough to feel, it can't be polished out completely.

Good stuff to know. You say it won't be out completely but could I myself with what tools I have make it look better? Or is it just hopeless?

If I can't reduce it then it's off to the scrappy and then sourcing a specialist to fit a new(ish) one.

Get few quotes cheapest i got is 30 per window ,that's me supplying the glass, have you got windscreen cover?

I could live with £30 plus glass supplying. My local scrappy just don't care, probably get the glass for a tenner.

Pretty sure I do but not 100% as I've gone through greenlight this time around. Before life with admiral was simple. Confusing now, just take my money haha.
