BBPT, 172T........... On the track!

After spending a few weeks cleaning the 172 Turbo for any perspective owners that might come along, we have had a last minute change of heart. Not only are we keeping "The Beast", but its going on the track!

Having decided to keep our 172 turbo we decided to convert it to have some fun. The car is under transformation as we speak, but will be at the RTOC national day this Saturday to have a bit of fun at the 1/4 mile. After this it is being treated to some track day goodies, and then we are off racing.

Ditto, ditch the std IVECO issue wheel and get a smaller one, trust me you wont regret it. Looking good

Have tried to change the wheel but cant get a Sparco air-bag hub kit in time. Should be done before the first track day comes up though.

Lol, the air bag and non-air bag models have different hub kits. Couldnt get a kit in to suit an air bag model in. Obviously ditching the wheel for a momo/sparco etc would naturally make it a non-air bag

Not sure as yet as the car is only part finished. As i said to Fred at the surrey dyno day ,ive always wanted to do track days, but have not made time. Might be able to make Brands. Never done track racing personally and im a sh*t driver, this why i need a power advantage !

No mate, they were mainly there for show behind the big wheels. The car will sport uprated pads and discs which should be good enough if we get the pad material right. Not going to know until we hit the track, but should be ok with the reduced weight.

Anyone want to buy 325mm kit for 172/182??

(17" only)
